Cooking is my therapy, kinda like working out or getting a massage for some people. Don’t get me wrong, working out is another type of tension reliever but I think cooking is like a type of meditation for me. Probably one reason I started this blog, duh.
We’ve tried soooo many door delivery meal boxes, and I have literally not been impressed by any one of them. They’ve just been bland and not fun. One day I came across Butcher Box, which is a monthly or bi-montly meat subscription. Not only do you get to pick out what meats you want every month but their meats are sourced from clean, grass-fed, organic and local farms. This month we received 6.5 lbs of boneless chicken thighs, 3 lbs of chicken breast, 2 x 10oz ribeyes, 4 6oz pork chops and 3 lbs of ground beef all for under $150.
The first month I was super skeptical (like how much different is it than store bought??) But they were running a ribeye special so I folded and ordered. This probably sounds super stupid but the meat taste better, it cooks better and it just plain looks better.
I highly recommend doing this. We are set up on the bi-monthly delivery and it’s kinda like Christmas every other month when it comes in (even if you know what you’re getting).
